Bayern Munich did not have a great match, but beat Augsburg 1-0 on Wednesday (20). The game, valid for the 17th round of the Bundesliga, was played at the WWK Arena in Augsburg. Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal of the duel. With the result, the Bavarian team extended their lead in the competition, with 39 points, four more than vice-leader RB Leipzig.
In the first half, Bayern Munich played an attacking game against the defense. The Bavarian defense hardly worked. The visitors opened the scoring just after 12 minutes, when Lucas Hernández got kicked by Rani Khedira – Sami Khedira’s younger brother – inside the area and a penalty was scored. Lewandowski beat the penalty with a category in the left corner of the goalkeeper, who jumped to the opposite side.
At 29, the judge scored the penalty after Brazilian Iago tried to dribble Pavard inside the area and the ball hit the defender’s arm. Finnbogason, however, took the penalty on Neuer’s right post. Just two minutes later, Jensen dropped a left leg bomb from outside the area, but the ball went over the Bavarian goal. In the final minutes, the hosts left in search of a tie in all ways, but failed.
