Now officially Philippe Coutinho is no longer a Bayern Munich player. The German club published on Wednesday a note of thanks to the Brazilian, who had been loaned by Barcelona for this season. “We want to thank Coutinho very much. With his creativity and excellent technique, he has raised the bar on our game this winning season”, said Bayern President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Bayern Munich would have to pay 120 million euros for the player to stay permanently. The club also published a video on social media thanking the Brazilian midfielder, who participated in the Triple Crown (Bundesliga, German Cup, and Champions).
Philippe Coutinho played 38 games for Bayern Munich last season, 22 as a first-string and 16 as a reserve off the bench. He scored 11 goals and made two assists. The midfielder was one of three players from the entire German squad to play the 11 games of the winning campaign in the Champions League.
